More on this cluster

Why this matters.

Conversion work on a Shopify store under 5,000 sessions a day is mostly a craft problem. The traffic volume rarely justifies a dedicated CRO tool or a multivariate test, but the gains from getting PDP layout, cart UX, and checkout extensions right are some of the highest-leverage work in the business. A clean PDP can lift conversion 15-30% on its own. A correctly tuned cart drawer can remove a friction point that quietly costs a percentage of revenue every month.

This cluster covers the patterns that compound. Mobile-first PDP layouts that work on the actual phones DTC traffic comes from. Cart drawer versus cart page math, with the decision rubric. Checkout extension patterns now that Shopify Plus has opened the surface. Collection filtering that scales beyond a few hundred SKUs. Clean tests on small traffic, where directional confidence matters more than statistical significance.

If you run a $2-10M Shopify store and conversion has plateaued, start with the hub piece on PDP architecture, then walk the cart and checkout posts before the next sprint.
