Your agency ships ads that look fine and don’t convert.

You don’t trust the Meta number anymore. You already tried hiring a Head of Growth and it didn’t take.

I work with four DTC founders at a time on Shopify Plus, doing $5M to $25M a year. Brand direction, creative, server-side tracking, theme work, lifecycle, and infrastructure answer to one person. The free tracking scan is the first step.

Four problems stack at the same time and no single hire fixes them.

By the time a DTC brand crosses the $5M line, attribution is broken, the agency is shipping mediocre creative, the theme has four years of duct tape, and the stack outgrew the in-house team. The senior generalist who can hold all of it does not exist as an FTE.

// 01

iOS 14 broke your attribution

Browser-only pixel tracking went dark on Safari and a chunk of Chrome. The 2026 baseline gap is 50 to 70 percent of conversions missing from Meta's optimization. Every bid decision downstream of that gap is a guess.

// 02

The agency ships ads that look fine

Creative gets approved, money goes out, the dashboard does not move. You end up giving Loom feedback at midnight because the agency cannot tell the difference between a brand-aligned ad and a converting one.

// 03

The theme is four years of duct tape

Every freelancer who touched it left their own pattern. Every release breaks a different section. The custom apps you bolted on do not talk to each other. Nobody senior wants to inherit it.

// 04

The senior FTE does not exist

You tried hiring a $180K Head of Growth. They could direct strategy but not deploy a theme change at 2am. The hybrid who can think and build is functionally unhireable on the open market in 2026.

Three steps, no surprise pricing.

Start with a free Loom audit so you know what I actually see in your stack. Move to a paid 2-week diagnostic if the surface area is bigger than one Loom can cover. Continue into the retainer if you want me building the fixes, not just naming them.

// STEP 01

Free tracking scan

No cost

About a minute, in the browser

Paste your store URL and the scanner reads your Meta tracking from the outside, grades it A to F, and names the gaps worth chasing. You keep the results either way, and nothing gets installed.

  • $Meta pixel presence and configuration
  • $Google Tag Manager and what it loads
  • $Signs of server coverage behind the pixel
  • $A letter grade with the gaps named
Run the free scan

// STEP 02

Attribution Teardown

$1,500

10 business days

A written teardown of your whole attribution picture: each platform graded against your real order data, dollar exposure named per gap, and a fix roadmap sequenced by payback. Written plainly enough to hand to any engineer or agency.

  • $Event map from first touch to repeat purchase
  • $Trust grade per platform, with the reasoning shown
  • $Dollar exposure per gap, with the math shown
  • $Fix roadmap sequenced by payback

// STEP 03

Retainer

From $3,500 / month

Capped client list

Direct time on your stack from one named person. Brand, creative, Shopify theme, server tracking, Klaviyo flows, AWS or Vercel infra. You talk to the person doing the work, the whole way through.

  • $Brand, creative, and landing pages
  • $Shopify theme work and custom apps
  • $Server-side Meta CAPI and GA4 architecture
  • $Klaviyo flows and lifecycle copy
Check retainer availability

The numbers that move when one person owns the stack.

+30 to +40%

Server-side CAPI lift

A typical server-side rebuild recovers 30 to 40 percent of conversions that browser-only pixel was missing. Match quality scores move from the mid-6s to the low-9s.

Multi-year

Regulated engineering record

Multi-year incident-free record running compliance-aware AWS and Salesforce infrastructure for a regulated DTC client. The same posture applies to your stack, minus the HIPAA tax.

One person

Brand and build in one head

Brand direction, creative, theme, tracking, and infra answer to one person. The hand-off tax between agency, freelancer, and dev shop goes to zero.

Same-day

Slack response inside business hours

Direct Slack channel with Michael. Same-day response on weekdays, weekly 60-minute working call, no PM layer in the middle.

Work that already shipped at this shape.

Want me to look at your store before you book a call?

I would rather hire a full-time Head of Growth.

The hire that covers strategy, brand, design, dev, and marketing at a senior level rarely shows up in the candidate pool. A retainer gives the team a senior operator while the internal stack, process, and hiring plan mature.

Will you actually be in the work or just strategize?

I am in the codebase, the Shopify admin, the GTM container, and the Klaviyo flow editor. The free audit is a Loom of me inside a previous engagement showing the exact build. If that is not what you want, I am the wrong hire.

How is this different from an agency?

One named person on your retainer, no account manager layer, no junior team learning your stack on your dollar. You get my direct Slack and a weekly working call. The ceiling is lower than a 30-person agency, the floor is much higher.

Will you take equity instead of cash?

No. Retainer plus a small performance bonus structure works once we have 90 days of receipts together. Equity-only deals do not get the work done quickly enough to matter.

What is the 3-month minimum about?

Anything shorter does not let the work compound. The first 30 days are diagnosis and the first fixes. The next 60 are where the dashboards start agreeing and the creative starts converting. If by month three you do not want to keep going, you walk with the systems in place.

Start with the free scan. Decide the rest after.
