Attribution Teardown / Diagnostic / Attribution teardown
Find out which of your numbers deserve your budget.
A written teardown of your whole attribution picture: what each platform really receives, what it drops, and what to fix first.
// the problem
Every platform grades its own homework. Meta reports the conversions it wants credit for, and GA4 models whatever it cannot see. Your email platform claims revenue your ads already claimed. Meanwhile you are moving real budget based on those reports. The teardown reads each platform against your actual order data, grades how far each number can be trusted, and hands you a roadmap so the fixes land in the order that pays back fastest.
// the promise
Inside 10 business days you know what each platform actually receives, how far to trust each number, and which fix pays back first.
// this is for you if
- You spend five figures or more a month on ads and the platforms disagree about what it buys
- You are about to reallocate budget and need numbers you can defend
- Your agency and your analytics person each blame the other's numbers
- You bought the Truth Map or the Leak Report and want the full teardown
// what’s inside
01 / Event map
Every event from first touch to repeat purchase, traced across browser, server, and app, with origin and payload documented per event.
- $Acquisition, cart, checkout, purchase, and repeat purchase events
- $Origin per event: browser, server, or app
- $Payload quality per event, including match keys and identifiers
02 / Platform trust audit
Each platform audited one at a time against your real order data: what it receives, what it drops, what it double counts, and a trust grade with the reasoning shown.
- $Meta pixel and Conversions API
- $GA4 and Measurement Protocol
- $Klaviyo and lifecycle email attribution
- $TikTok, Google Ads, and any attribution tool like Triple Whale or Northbeam
03 / Reconciliation
Your platforms lined up against your actual orders for the same 30 days, so the gaps stop being opinions.
- $Shopify orders versus platform reported conversions
- $Where each delta comes from, named per platform
- $Dollar exposure per delta, with the math shown
04 / Fix roadmap
The sequence I would run if it were my budget: each fix scoped, rough effort attached, ordered by payback.
- $Quick wins first, sized so you can ship them this week
- $Structural fixes with effort and dependencies spelled out
- $A rerun plan so you can verify the numbers moved

// common questions
How is this different from the Tracking Truth Map?
The Truth Map documents what your stack sends and where the gaps are. Going further than that, the Teardown reconciles each platform against your real order data, grades how far each number can be trusted, and builds the fix roadmap. Buy the map when you want the picture. When a budget decision rides on the numbers, get the teardown.
Do I need the Truth Map first?
No. The Teardown includes the full event map. If you bought the Truth Map within the last 90 days, email me and I will credit the $750 toward the Teardown.
What do you need from me?
Your store URL, the list of platforms you spend or send on, read only access to Meta Events Manager, GA4, and GTM where possible, and your last 30 days of order totals. The intake form after checkout walks you through all of it.
Is this automated?
No. Tools help me pull the data, but the reconciliation, the grades, and the roadmap are written by hand for your store. That is the part an automated report cannot do.
We already use Triple Whale or Northbeam. Is this still useful?
Yes, and your attribution tool gets audited too. It is one more platform reporting a number, so the teardown grades it the same way, against your actual orders.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If the teardown does not change how you see your own numbers, email michael@michaeldishmon.com within 14 days of delivery and I will refund you.
